  • De pathogeniciteit van deze darmprotozoa is omstreden.
  • In principe niet behandelen tenzij er geen andere oorzaken voor de (langdurige) buik- en/of diarreeklachten zijn vastgesteld.
  • Paromomycine is in Nederland niet geregistreerd, aan import zijn mogelijk kosten verbonden die doorberekend worden aan de patiënt.
